Overview
This tutorial will walk you through a complete creative workflow in CharaStudio: Create a character → Build a world → Write a story. After completing this tutorial, you'll have a solid grasp of CharaStudio's core workflow.
Step 1: Create a New Character
- Click the "Character" icon in the sidebar
- Click the "New Character" button in the top-right corner
- Enter the character name, e.g.:
Lin Shuang
Using AI-Assisted Generation
CharaStudio has a powerful built-in AI generator. In the right panel:
- Enter a text description and let the AI auto-fill the character's appearance, personality, and backstory
- Adjust the generation style: Realistic / Anime / Fantasy
- Click "Generate" and the AI will create a complete character profile
Example prompt:
A calm and composed female swordswoman with silver hair, always wearing a mask, introverted but passionate inside
Step 2: Build the World Setting
- Switch to the "World Card" tab
- Click "New World Card" to define the story's world
- Add "Scene Cards": such as "Northern Tundra", "Frost Moon City", etc.
Tip: World Cards help the AI maintain setting consistency when generating stories. Before writing a story, we recommend completing at least 3-5 key scenes first.
Step 3: Write a Story Outline
- Go to the "Story" workspace
- Click "New Chapter" to create your first chapter
- Use the "Node Editor" to build the story skeleton
CharaStudio's Node Editor supports:
- Plot Nodes: Define key turning points in the story
- Emotion Nodes: Mark character emotional changes
- Dialogue Nodes: Enter or AI-generate dialogue directly
Step 4: Generate a First Draft
- After completing the outline, click "Generate Draft"
- Choose a generation mode:
- Per-Node Generation: AI fills in details node by node
- Full Chapter Generation: Generate the complete chapter at once
- Wait for generation to complete (~1-3 minutes)
After generation, you can edit, polish, or ask the AI to regenerate any content.
