Asset Library Overview

CharaStudio's Asset Library is a central storage system for all creative resources. Asset types include:

Managing Assets

Adding Assets

Most assets (such as characters, scenes) are automatically added to the Asset Library upon creation.

You can also manually import assets:

  1. Go to the "Asset Library" workspace
  2. Select the asset type
  3. Click "Import"
  4. Select a file or drag and drop into the upload area

Asset Tags

Organize assets using tags:

Protagonist: Lin Shuang, Zhao Wuji
Antagonist: Blood Demon Lord
NPCs: Tavern Server, City Lord
Scenes: Frost Moon City, Northern Tundra
Props: Frost Moon Sword, Xuan Ice Token

Search and Filter

  • Keyword Search: Search assets by name
  • Tag Filter: Filter asset list by tags
  • Type Filter: Show only specific types of assets
  • Favorites: Mark frequently used assets as favorites for quick access

Cross-Project Reuse

Character Reuse

  1. Find the target character in the Asset Library
  2. Click "Use in Current Project"
  3. The character will appear in the current project's character list
  4. Modifications to the character will apply to all projects using it

World Reuse

  1. Export World Cards as .chara-world files
  2. In a new project, select "Import World Card"
  3. Select the asset package to import
  4. The World Card and all its Scene Cards will be imported

Asset Statistics

On the Asset Library home page, you can see current project asset statistics:

  • Total characters and active characters
  • Number of World Cards and Scene Cards
  • Number of props and costumes
  • Total reference images

Backup and Recovery

  • Auto-backup: CharaStudio automatically backs up project data every hour
  • Manual backup: Click "Export Backup" to create a complete project snapshot
  • Recovery: In the project list, click "Restore from Backup" to recover lost data
